No drinking today

SO FRIDAY AT LAST..... As I am staying with my grandparents (who chose not to know about my drinking) I decided to abstain from alcohol today. Instead I came home early, to spend some quality time with the family. Quite surprising that I actually didnt need alcohol to have fun on a friday night :)

An OK day

SO today my uncle told me something very interesting; he moved to Bangalore about a year back from Delhi, and he has pretty much fallen in love with Bangalore. However he is pretty unhappy with the lack of urgency in Bangaloreans. He was telling me that in Bangalore everything is slow, and its no wonder that people rely on Vastu, because obviously they cant rely on humans HEHE. he went on to say that it seems that even god here needs to be reminded constantly of his duties. I found it quite funny actually...... I guess a good beginning to the day eh?

I also found a connection between my grandpa and my friends grandfather. Quite random actually I have known my friend for about 3 years now, and we were just talking about our families and we found that both out grandparents are from the same village, and both moved to Delhi, and in fact they knew each other quite well and were friends. WHAT are the odds???

well then it was off to the inevitable...... WORK!!!! I pretty much have been walking around office all day doing nothing. However lunch was good!!!! :) yummy!

well some more systems went for a toss. An everyday occurance I guess... thats about it :)

Fire Fire

So overall the day has been a mixed bag, an early morning sneeze resulted in a neck sprain, and I have been "forward looking" the whole day. :) I have been using this god awful spray which has taken its toll with my colleagues..... Complaints have floated in.... But oh well ..... My neck is more important.

SO interesting day at work. Well I had to go turn in my standing instructions form to god damn HDFC for the 3rd time (standing instructions so that they automatically deduct my home loan payments from my account). It so happens that my signature has a mind of its own, it keeps changing itself. Quite a dynamic entity in fact, so I have decided that this is my last try with the standing instruction form, and if it does not work this time, I am gonna pretend to be an illiterate and give in my thumb impression.

After the banking experience I headed out to nightwatchman, for lunch and an afternoon beer. It was most definitely refreshing. When I came back to work, all our machines were switched off because we were having some electrical issues. After about 30 mins we were instructed to switch our machines on....

Couple hours later.....

We witnessed some fireworks :) 5 machines had started "smoking" :) smoke and a large thud.. And the computers went poof... So for the rest of the day we just sat around and discussed about the great facility we have here.

So another day spent doing practically nothing!!!!

I maintain the same title

Well if the world was as mundane as today, I would probably shoot myself. Damn board design or whatever!!!

heard my VP bitch about email, should have headed to some watering hole in the afternoon to spice my day up or something.

work sucks

If work was fun it would nto have been called work!!!!! tomorrow is monday, and I have to get myself to go to work. Its gonna suck big time...
